RIMS Canada Council National Education Committee
The National Education Committee (NEC) supports the following objectives of the RIMS Canada Council:
- Strengthening ties with chapters
- Helping chapters lead
- Rebuilding member confidence in chapters
- Promoting member growth in Canada
The terms of membership in the NEC have been defined to provide for balance and continuity by ensuring that the whole membership does not change in any given year, and also to rejuvenate the committee and produce fresh ideas and enthusiasm through encouraging new members. In order to promote the RCC goal of strengthening ties with chapters, a requirement that chapter boards select or approve NEC members every two years has been included. Half of the terms in the NEC expire on alternate years.
